UEFA-ECA: +25% distributed to clubs in the Champions League (2015-2018), +64% in the Europa League

€1.638bn (against €1.235bn against in 2012-2015, an increase of 33%) will be distributed each season to clubs participating in the two European cups: €1.257bn for clubs in the Champions League (against €1bn in 2012-2015, +25%) and €381m in the Europa League (against €232.5m in 2012-15, +64%), under the new agreement signed between UEFA and the ECA on 31/03/2015.

Both bodies presented the details of the financial distribution plan for clubs participating in the Champions League and Europa League during the 2015-2018 cycle (three seasons: 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18) during the signing of the new protocol.

"The ECA and UEFA have jointly developed a revolutionary distribution mechanism for the Champions League and the Europa League, with the aim of sharing the increased revenue of the competitions more equitably among European clubs," indicated the two organisations on 31/03/2015.
