FIFA TMS to develop and launch an "Intermediary Regulations Tool" to help member associations

The FIFA TMS (Transfer Matching System) company will launch an "Intermediary Regulations Tool" (IRT) to assist all parties involved with FIFA’s new Regulations on Working with Intermediaries, the body stated on 26/03/2015. The new rules regarding "intermediaries" come into force on 01/04/2015.

"The IRT will be integrated into the existing Transfer Matching System (ITMS and DTMS), thus allowing the transfer of professional players and related intermediary involvement to be managed via one system," stated the FIFA TMS, which indicated it will continue to develop tools to help all FIFA member associations.

  • "At its 64th Congress in São Paolo (BRA) on 11/06/2014, FIFA endorsed the new regulations on working with intermediaries. The new regulations, which come into force on 01/04/2015, ends the previous regulations on players' agents, in force since 01/01/2008, and abandons the licensing system developed patiently over the years," stated Joëlle Monlouis, a business law and sports law specialist, in an analysis for News Tank on 18/03/2015.
