ECA: two (non-voting) representatives to sit as early as the next UEFA Executive Committee meeting

"The UEFA Congress last week ratified the principle to allow stakeholder representation in the UEFA Executive Committee. As of its next meeting (29 and 30/06/2015 in Prague, CZE), two ECA club representatives will participate in the UEFA Executive Committee, as 'co-opted' (non-voting) members," announced the ECA at its general assembly in Stockholm (SWE) on 31/03/2015.

Michel Platini, UEFA president, opened a vote by the Congress of the European confederation in Vienna (AUT) on 24/03/2015, regarding the principle of opening up the UEFA Executive Committee for representatives from the "families" of football (players, clubs, professional leagues...). "The presence of club representatives as full members with voting rights in the UEFA Executive Committee will be implemented at the next UEFA Congress, pending the necessary statutory changes," stated ECA on 31/03/2015.
