England: AudienceView (e-commerce) renews its partnership with the FA and Wembley until 2018

AudienceView, the Canadian e-commerce software business, has renewed its partnership with the FA and Wembley Stadium (90,000 seats) until 2018, announced the company on 24/03/2015. AudienceView will continue to manage ticketing operations for events at Wembley, which belongs to the English association. Online ticketing for the FA will be replaced by the AudienceView Company sales platform.

"We have always been impressed with AudienceView’s technology and vision of ticketing, particularly in terms of the importance placed on social media. We believe AudienceView’s solution is ahead of the game in social media and mobility, which is becoming more and more prevalent in ticketing today," said Bruce Osborne, head of of ticketing for Wembley stadium, on 24/03/2015.

Sources of revenue of the FA in 2012-13

  • FA Events, which include matches of the national team of England and the FA Cup, generated €29.9m in revenue in 2012-13.
  • Wembley Events, which include other sporting events (Champions League in 2013, rugby matches, Olympics 2012), and concerts, generated €32.6m in revenue in 2012-13.
