Euro 2016: the Stadium de Toulouse will be delivered in December 2015

"The construction is being carried out while the matches are played, and these are important constraints. We have discovered asbestos, which has added to the complexity in the works. But we are on time and we will deliver the stadium in December 2015, so that the stadium is in operation for six months before hosting Euro 2016," said Francis Cardete, the architect of the Toulouse office of Cardete & Huet and the head of project management of the Stadium de Toulouse, on 27/03/2015.

The Stadium de Toulouse, which has been in the process of a renovation since from 27/05/2013 as part of the Euro 2016, has a temporary capacity of 22,000 seats at Toulouse FC matches (Ligue 1). The site's main tasks are changing structures, removing pits and replacing the lower tiers to recreate the incline, a legacy of the old velodrome destroyed in 1984. A total of 22,500 seats will be demolised and rebuilt. The last phase of the work began in March 2015, on the south stand.
