esports/LFP: 2025 eLigue 1 McDonald's with 11 teams organised from 22/01 to 28/04

The ninth edition of the eLigue 1 McDonald's, the Ligue de Football Professionnel's official professional esports championship played on the EA SPORTS FC 25 football video game, will take place from 22/01 to 28/04 with 11 teams (eight from Ligue 1, three from Ligue 2, see below), announced the governing body on 07/01/2025.

Organised with the Hopscotch Sport agency (the successor to UniTeam), the competition will be played exclusively on the PS5 console from PlayStation (Sony), the event's official partner. The LFP will once again be awarding a total of €60,000 to the top four finishers.

For this new edition, the League has introduced four new features:
• "On 16/01/2025, a brand new programme will present the different teams and new features of this new season;
• the creation of a Super Week: for the first time, an entire matchday of the regular season - Matchday 6 - will be broadcast live in Paris (FRA) on 26 and 27/02/2025;
• RC Strasbourg Alsace, as part of its RCSA Racing Esports Live Show, will host all the clubs for a day of league action on 19/02;
