Real Madrid CF: applications for presidential candidates to be submitted by 18/01/2025

Candidates for the election of the president and board of directors at Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) for the 2025-2028 cycle must submit their applications between 09 and 18/01, announced the club on 08/01/2025.

This procedure was announced the day after Real Madrid's board of directors met to initiate the election process. The process has been brought forward by three months compared to the planned timetable, as president Florentino Pérez wishes to create a commercial company within the club.

Each candidacy will be announced one day after it has been submitted, provided that it meets the admission conditions set by the club. These include the requirement to be Spanish, to have been a member of the club's socios for at least 20 years and to have a financial capacity of 15% of the most recently validated budget, i.e. €163m (Real Madrid's turnover of €1.073bn in 2023-24).
