Australian Open 2025: all you need to know about broadcasting in Australia & internationally

The 2025 Australian Open Tennis Championships, to be held at Melbourne Park in Melbourne (AUS) from Sunday 12 to Sunday 26/01/2025, will be broadcast exclusively in Australia via the various channels of Australia's private media group Nine Entertainment.

All matches from the tournament will be available live and on-demand on Nine's channels and its OTT platform Stan. Nine Entertainment extended its exclusive Australian Open broadcasting rights for the 2025-2029 cycle on 11/11/2022. These rights have been extended for a total of AU$425m (€256m) over five years, i.e. AU$85m (€51m) per year. Nine has held the rights to broadcast the Australian Open since 2019. These rights were previously held by free-TV group Seven.

In Europe, the media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery, parent company of pay-TV group Eurosport, extended its rights to broadcast the Australian Open until 2031, on 07/09/2021. Eurosport has been broadcasting the Grand Slam tournament since 1995.
