Africa/CAF: partnership with Canal+ International to develop training for sports journalists

The Confederation of African Football has entered into a strategic partnership with the Canal+ International group (via its entity dedicated to training and education, Canal+ University) with the aim of developing "training programmes in the field of sports journalism for young African talent," announced CAF on 06/01/2024.

"This partnership is in line with the objectives of the African Youth Promotion Programme of the CAF African School Football Championship initiated under the guidance of the CAF president, Patrice Motsepe. More than 800,000 boys and girls under the age of 15 have already participated in these programmes. The CAF African Schools Football Championship includes among its main annual activities, a Young Reporters Programme, Young Referees Programme and Safeguarding Programme," explained the body.
