Eagle Football Holdings: investment group Sportsbank agrees to a "significant investment"

Sportsbank, a sports investment group based in London (ENG), has signed an agreement with American company Eagle Football Holdings Limited, owner of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's), Botafogo (Brasileirão Betano), RWD Molenbeek (Belgian 2^nd division), FC Florida academy (USA) and minority shareholder of Crystal Palace FC (Premier League), for an investment in Eagle Football Holdings, according to the London-based company on 08/01/2025. The value of the deal is estimated at around £200m (€240m), according to the French sports daily L'Équipe.

The agreement "will include a period of exclusivity while due diligence is conducted and relevant commercial and legal agreements are concluded," said the English company, which is headed by Crystal Palace supporter Zechariaj Janjua. "Sportsbank intends to make a significant financial and management investment in Eagles with the backing of major international financial and strategic management investors who strongly support Eagles' multi-club model."
