Ligue 1 McDonald's/DAZN: Saturday night matches moved to 21:05 CET from Matchday 17

"From Matchday 17 of the Ligue 1 McDonald's (10 to 12/01/2025), the kick-off time for Saturday evening matches will be shifted to 21:05 (from 21:00 CET) to allow for better pre-match editorial content. Decided in consultation with DAZN, this change will also apply to Friday evenings at 21:05 if a match is scheduled for 19:00," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 09/01/2025.

The Ligue had previously announced that Ligue 1 matches scheduled for 17:00 each Sunday would also kick off at 17:15 from Matchday 17, on 06/12/2024. "This rearrangement of the Ligue 1 matchdays meets the need to have a greater interval between the end of the match starting at 15:00 and the start of the matches at 17:15, and thus to offer viewers a better editorial approach to the late afternoon matches," explained the French League at the time.
