FC Barcelona: cancellation of D. Olmo & P. Víctor's licences by the RFEF & LALIGA suspended by CSD

"The CSD has granted the urgent precautionary measure requested by FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports) and by the players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. This measure, which is provisional until the final resolution of the appeal lodged by the club and the aforementioned players, suspends the Agreement of the Monitoring Committee of the RFEF-LALIGA Coordination Agreement and the cancellation of the sporting licences of the aforementioned players. Likewise, it maintains the validity of those licences until this appeal is finally resolved," announced the Spanish High Council of Sports on 08/01/2025.

The body, which reports to the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport, was examining "an appeal of 52 pages and 60 documents submitted by the club and the players" lodged in reaction to the decision by the RFEF and LALIGA to refuse to re-register the two Spaniards in the Catalan club's squad for 2025, on 04/01/2025 (see timeline below).
