FIFA has launched two separate calls for tenders for the broadcasting rights to the 2026 World Cup (the first 48-team event to be co-hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico), the 2030 World Cup (to be held in Spain, Portugal and Morocco) and the Women's World Cup 2027 (to be held in Brazil) in Germany on 09/01/2025.

"Entities wishing to participate in the tender processes can request the invitations to tender by e-mailing germany-media-rights@fifa.org. The bid submission deadline for both tenders is 10:00 CET on Thursday, 13/02/2025," said FIFA.

The broadcasting rights for the Women's World Cup 2023 were held in Germany by the German broadcasting groups ARD and ZDF. They also held the free-to-air rights to 48 matches from the 2022 World Cup, while telecommunications operator Deutsche Telekom (owner of the Magenta OTT platform) held all the pay-TV rights.
