LALIGA EA Sports: work resumes on Valencia CF's Nou Mestalla, delivery expected in summer 2027

Work on the construction of the Nou Mestalla (Valencia, ESP), which began in 2007 before being interrupted in February 2009 due to a lack of funds, will resume on 10/01/2025, announced Valencia CF (LALIGA EA Sports) the same day. The stadium, which will be owned by the club, is due to be handed over in the summer of 2027.

The future stadium will have a capacity of 70,044, including 6,500 hospitality seats, compared with a total of 49,430 for the current Mestalla. "It will be a state-of-the-art stadium capable of hosting top-tier FIFA and UEFA matches, as well as major events," said the club. The project is being led by Spanish firm Fenwick Iribarren Architects, "renowned for designing three stadiums for the 2022 World Cup", and FCC Construcción, "a prestigious company known for constructing large sports facilities, including the Metropolitano (Club Atlético de Madrid), RCDE Stadium (RCD Espanyol), and the renovation of the Bernabéu (Real Madrid CF)."
