Dan Sucu, owner of Genoa CFC (Serie A Enilive), has been appointed president by the board of directors, announced the club on 13/01/2025. Sucu succeeds Alberto Zangrillo, who has held the position since November 2021.

The Romanian acquired 77% of the Genoa club's shares via a capital increase of €45.356m on 18/12/2024. The deal included a free capital increase of €5.356m in addition to the €40m invested.

"The board of directors is comprised of Dan Sucu (president), Andres Blazquez (executive member), Flavio Ricciardella (executive member), Alessandro Giudice, Cosmin Golea, Razvan Rat and Alberto Zangrillo," said Genoa CFC.

US strategic insurance investment firm A-Cap has retained a 23% minority stake in the club.

A-CAP was the main creditor of the US investment fund 777 Partners, which was declared bankrupt in July 2024, and recovered its assets, which included Genoa.
