"beIN SPORTS France is pleased to have resolved the remaining points of negotiation with LFP Media regarding the media rights to Ligue 1 McDonald's in France, for which beIN has made a significant financial commitment - despite limited bids - for one match per week," said a spokesperson for the pay-TV group to News Tank Football on 13/01/2025.

The contract between beIN SPORTS, holder of the exclusive domestic TV rights to one game per Ligue 1 matchday for €98.5m per season over the 2024-2029 cycle, and the Ligue de Football Professionnel had still been under negotiation since the start of the 2024-25 season. The negotiations included the inclusion of sponsorship rights in the agreement, at beIN's initiative and for a sum of €20m per year.

"In addition, with regard to beIN's innovative solution for generating additional revenue for clubs through sponsorship, all clubs wishing to sell their unsold sponsorship stocks are now assisted in finding solutions directly with representatives of interested commercial partners," added the group's spokesperson.
