Basketball: Deutsche Telekom extends EuroLeague & EuroCup TV rights in Germany until 2029

The German telecommunications operator Deutsche Telekom has extended its full and exclusive broadcasting rights to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the BKT EuroCup over the 2026-2029 cycle (three seasons), announced Euroleague Basketball on 14/01/2025.

Deutsche Telekom has held the broadcasting rights to these competitions in Germany since 2015, under an agreement initially running until 2025-26. The games will continue to be broadcast on the OTT platform Magenta Sport. Four German teams are playing in the two competitions in 2024-25: Alba Berlin and FC Bayern Munich in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, and Ratiopharm Ulm and Veolia Towers Hamburg in the BKT EuroCup.

"Germany remains a key market for Euroleague Basketball. The country has hosted the EuroLeague Final Four, multiple times, including three editions in Berlin (2009, 2016, 2024) and one in Cologne (2021).
