UEFA: launch of a football development programme in collaboration with the five other confederations

UEFA, in collaboration with the five other confederations (AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL and OFC), has launched the "UEFA Together" programme, which aims to "develop the game all over the world" and "deliver impactful and lasting projects through strategic partnerships between UEFA, our sister confederations and their member national associations," announced the body on 14/01/2025.

Deployed over a three-year period (2025-2027), the initiative will focus on a priority issue in each geographical area:
• Asia (AFC): closing the development gap in women's football;
• Africa (CAF): strengthening high-level development pathways for young players;
• North America (Concacaf): develop club licences and train coaches;
• South America (CONMEBOL): strengthen the presence of women in management positions and child protection measures;
• Oceania (OFC): improve high performance management and organise youth tournaments.
