Rugby: Rai to provide free-to-air coverage of Italian national teams at 2025 Six Nations tournaments

The public broadcasting group Rai has acquired the free-to-air broadcasting rights to the matches of the Italian national teams in the Six Nations tournaments (Guinness 6 Nations Tournament, Guinness Women's 6 Nations and Men's U20 6 Nations) in 2025, announced the Italian Rugby Federation on 15/01/2025. Rai has also obtained the free-to-air TV rights to the matches of the Italian XV during the Autumn Nations Series 2025.

These rights have been acquired under sub-licence from pay-TV operator Sky Italia. On 04/07/2023, Sky Italia acquired the rights to broadcast a number of international rugby events over the 2023-2025 cycle: the Summer Nations Series (2023), the Guinness 6 Nations (2024 and 2025), the Guinness Women's 6 Nations (2024 and 2025), the U20 6 Nations (2024 and 2025) and the Autumn Nations Series (2024 and 2025).

The U20 tournament kicks off on Thursday 30/01, while the men's tournament begins on Friday 31/01. The women's edition will be launched later on 22/03/2025.
