Bundesliga: partnership extended with Footballco to broadcast content in MENA & sub-Saharan Africa

Bundesliga International has extended its partnership with US digital football media company Footballco, parent company of the sports news website Goal.com and Dubai-based platform Kooora, to deliver content in MENA and sub-Saharan Africa from 2025, it announced on 17/01/2025. The two entities have been partners since 30/03/2023.

This extension begins with the broadcast of a three-part documentary series produced by Footballco on the history of Arab players in the Bundesliga. "The 'Era of Arabs' charts the impact of the first Arab players to leave their mark on German soil through to those carrying the torch today. The series features contributions from players, including trailblazing Moroccan international Rachid Azzouzi, reigning Bundesliga champion with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Amine Adli, and Champions League runner-up Ramy Bansebaini (Borussia Dortmund)," said Bundesliga International. The first episode is already available on the Kooora TV YouTube channel, while the final two will be broadcast on 23 and 30/01/2025 respectively.
