ARD and ZDF have acquired, via their media rights agency Sport A, the full broadcasting rights to Euro 2028 in Germany, announced the German public broadcasting groups on 20/01/2025.

At Euro 2024, the two groups shared the broadcasting of 34 matches (including Germany's opening match, the semi-finals and the final), while the private free-TV group RTL Deutschland broadcast 12 matches. The three groups obtained these rights under sub-licensing agreements with Deutsche Telekom, which broadcast all the matches, including five on an exclusive basis on its Magenta TV platform.

RTL also has exclusive live broadcasting rights in Germany for half of the German national team's matches over the 2022-2028 cycle (Nations League, Euro and World Cup qualifiers, friendlies). The ARD and ZDF groups hold the rights to the other half.
