FIFA: Gianni Infantino, present in Washington DC, "honoured to be acknowledged" by President Trump

"What an incredible honour and privilege it is for FIFA and me, as FIFA president, to be acknowledged by President Donald J. Trump during his victory rally speech in Washington DC (USA)," wrote Gianni Infantino, president of the International Football Federation, on the social network Instagram on 19/01/2025.

FIFA's Italian-Swiss leader referred to the remarks made in the federal capital by the 47^th President of the United States on the eve of the inauguration ceremony: "So I am going to be your President for the Olympics (Los Angeles 2028) and for the (FIFA) 2026 World Cup. So Gianni, thank you for the World Cup, and everybody, thank you for the Olympics, we are going to have a great time," said Donald J. Trump.
