Schalke 04 and OGC Nice launch Periscope events, the live video application acquired by Twitter

FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga) launched a live video event on Periscope, the new application bought by Twitter on 13/03/2015, and used to broadcast live video content directly within the social network, on 02/04/2015. 150 supporters of the German club were able to watch the interview with the goalkeeper Ralf Fährmann, back from injury. The Gelsenkirchen club also used Periscope for a press conference at the Veltins Arena on 03/04/2015.

OGC Nice (Ligue 1) will also begin launching live video events on Periscope, announced the club on 02/04/2015. The club will use the Twitter application during the OGC Nice - Evian TG FC match (Matchday 31 of Ligue 1 on 04/04/2015) and the OGC Nice - Paris Saint-Germain match (Matchday 33 on 18/04/2015) to provide a new content to fans.

Periscope:

• The videos can be broadcast with unlimited access for 24 hours, and users can interact by posting comments and "liking" the video.
• This application is available, for now, only on iOS since 26/03/2015.
