HSBC, the British bank, has become the title sponsor of the now-named "HSBC Championships", the ATP 500 and WTA 500 grass-court tournaments held at the Queen's Club in London and Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham (GBR), from their 2025 edition until 2028 (four years), announced the Lawn Tennis Association on 23/01/2025.

The 2025 event, which runs from 07-22/06/2025, will include a women's tournament "for the first time in more than 50 years."

The agreement with HSBC is the result of "a very competitive tender process involving a number of potential partners," according to the LTA. As part of the partnership, the visual identity of the tournaments will undergo "a comprehensive rebrand and refresh."

HSBC - also the title sponsor of the Rugby Sevens World Tour organised by World Rugby - is stepping up its involvement in tennis. In particular, the banking group has partnered British player Emma Raducanu and former tennis player Tim Henman. HSBC was the banking partner of the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament between 2008 and 2022, before being replaced by another British bank, Barclays.
