Basketball: Abu Dhabi (UAE) to host the EuroLeague Final Four for the first time in 2025

Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) has been awarded the right to host the 2025 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, announced Euroleague Basketball on 28/01/2025. The Emirati capital was preferred to Belgrade (SRB), the only other candidate city, according to information from the specialised website Eurohoops, official media partner of Euroleague Basketball, which had already revealed that the Final Four would be held in Abu Dhabi on 03/12/2024.

This award was ratified on 02/12/2024 at a meeting of the shareholders of Euroleague Commercial Assets, the commercial company responsible for developing the competition. It should enable Euroleague Commercial Assets to collect €50m from the rights to organise the event. 11 of the 13 clubs involved in the decision are said to be in favour of this option, which was rejected by Real Madrid Baloncesto and Olympiacos BC.
