The Spanish LFP and the Portuguese LPFP have organised a forum entitled "TPO: A path for a sustainable and competitive future in world football" in Madrid (Spain) on 09/04/2015. "The aim is to discuss various topics regarding the regulation of TPO (third party ownership of players)," said the Spanish league.

The FIFA Executive Committee decided on 19/12/2014 to ban the ownership of players by third parties as of 01/05/2015, stating: "Existing agreements shall continue to be in place until their contractual expiry. New agreements made between 01/01/2015 and 30/04/2015 will be subject to a time limit (one year maximum)."

Javier Tebas, the president of the LFP, and Luis Duque, the president of the LPFP, will attend the forum, where they will deliver the closing speeches. The forum will be divided into three parts, each on different themes related to TPO.

  • Nelio Lucas,  the president and CEO of Doyen Sports, an investment fund specialising in sport, will speak at the forum.
  • "Representatives from Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Brazilian clubs will attend the forum," said the LFP.
