DFB: call for tenders for domestic TV rights to the Men's & Women's German Cups (2026-2030)

The Deutscher Fussball Bund (German Football Federation) has launched two calls for tenders for the domestic broadcasting rights to the German Men's Cup (DFB-Pokal) and Women's Cup (DFB-Pokal Frauen) for the 2026-2030 cycle (four seasons), announced the DFB on 28/01/2025.

The calls for tenders include live rights as well as highlights. For the DFB-Pokal, there is the possibility of broadcasting between 9 and 15 games on free television per season. "The DFB-Pokal Frauen, awarded for the first time by tender, will guarantee a full media presence of the competition with at least two live games per round and an unlimited number of highlights packages," said the DFB.

Broadcasters can register their interest by sending an email to ausschreibung.medienrechte@dfb.de until 07/02/2025. The registration period for participation in the call for tenders is 03/03/2025. The auction phase is then scheduled for 05 to 09/05/2025. "The rights to the two competitions will be awarded simultaneously, but independently of each other. Separate bids must therefore be submitted."
