FC Barcelona: request to the City Council to play at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys until 20/05/2025

FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports) will ask Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM), an entity belonging to Barcelona City Council (Catalonia, ESP) responsible for managing its infrastructure, to extend its right to play at the Estadi Olimpic Lluís Companys (49,472 capacity) until 20/05/2025, announced the club on 30/01/2025.

Barça's objective of playing matches at the Spotify Camp Nou before the end of the 2024-25 season remains unchanged, according to the club, which has played its home matches at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc since the start of the 2023-24 season. FC Barcelona are playing at this stadium because of the renovation and extension work currently underway at the Spotify Camp Nou (capacity increased from 99,354 to 105,000), which they initially hoped to return to gradually, with a reduced capacity, at the end of 2024, for their 125^th anniversary.
