Australian Open 2025: record attendance for a Grand Slam with 1.218 million spectators (+ 9.7%)

1,218,831 spectators attended the three weeks of the main draw of the 2025 Australian Open (from 06 to 26/01) at Melbourne Park in Melbourne (AUS), according to Tennis Australia, organiser of the Grand Slam tournament, on 29/01/2025.

This figure represents an all-time record for a Grand Slam tournament. This total is up 9.74% on the previous record set at the Australian Open 2024 (1,110,657 spectators over three weeks).

In detail:
• 1,102,303 spectators attended the two weeks of the main draw, up 8% on 2023 (1.02 million spectators). As in 2023, the main draw began a day earlier, on Sunday 12/01.
• "Friday 17/01 was the highest attended day/night in the history of the Australian Open with 97,132 fans through the gates," said the organisers.
• 116,528 fans took part in Opening Week, an increase of 29.6% compared to 2023 (89,894 spectators). During this week, the "Kids Tennis Day presented by Emirates" attracted 19,987 fans.
