FIFA: "To us, Sepp Blatter is still the man of the moment" (Issa Hayatou, CAF president)

"I am thus tempted to say to candidate Sepp Blatter that he is preaching to converts. His actions in favour of Africa speak for him. To us, he is still the man of the moment. Dear Sepp, Africa is comfortable having you. Africa stays with you! " stated Issa Hayatou, CAF president, at the 37^th ordinary general meeting of the African Confederation in Cairo (EGY) on 07/04/2015.

Joseph Blatter is running for a fifth term as the president of FIFA, a position he has held since 08/06/1998, at the annual congress of the body on 29/05/2015 in Zurich (SUI). He participated in the meeting of CAF, at which he delivered the keynote speech on 06/04/2015. Ali Bin Al Hussein (JOR), Michael van Praag (NED) and Luis Figo (POR), the other three candidates for the presidency of FIFA, were also present in Cairo, with the status of "observers".
