Germany: Tipico (betting) extends partnership with the DFL until the end of the 2027-28 season

Tipico, a sports betting operator registered in Malta, has extended its partnership with Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH as a partner of the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga until 2027-28, announced the governing body on 04/02/2025. The agreement was negotiated by Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of the DFL.

The initial agreement covered the 2018-2021 cycle (with an estimated budget of between €4m and €5m per season), before being renewed until 2024-25 on 04/12/2020. The partnership will therefore reach 10 years in 2027-28.

Tipico thus continues to have the rights to use the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga brand images for its own communication campaigns. The operator benefits from visibility on the DFL's communication platforms, particularly digital, but not on those of the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga clubs.

Tipico, former title sponsor of the Austrian top flight (2014-2021), has also been the official betting partner of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) since 2015. Outside football, the operator has also been an official partner of the EasyCredit Basketball Bundesliga since 2023.
