Germany/DFL: Sportfive to manage marketing for play-offs & Supercup matches until 2029

Sportfive will continue to act as the DFL's marketing agency for the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga play-off matches and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup until 2029, announced the Deutsche Fußball Liga on 06/02/2025. The partnership began in 2011.

"Every year, the four relegation matches at the end of the season thrill millions of viewers in front of their screens with excitement, emotion and media presence. The Franz Beckenbauer Supercup offers sponsors a top-class premium platform when the German champions and the DFB Cup winners play for the first title of the season," said the DFL. These relegation/promotion play-offs will pit the 16^th-placed Bundesliga side against the third-placed 2.Bundesliga side and the 16^th-placed 2.Bundesliga side against the third-placed 3.Liga side in two-legged matches.

The German Supercup, the match between the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal winners, will be known as the 'Franz Beckenbauer Supercup' from the 2025-26 season, announced the DFL on 20/12/2024. The 2025 edition of the Supercup will take place on 16/08/2025.
