• FIFA has suspended the Congolese Football Association (FECOFOOT) and the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) with immediate effect from 06/02/2025. The former has been sanctioned due to "undue interference by third parties in the affairs of the organisation" and the later after "its failure to adopt a revision of the PFF Constitution that would ensure truly fair and democratic elections."
• The DFL is providing Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga clubs with a car-sharing portal to encourage fans to use this mobility solution to get to stadiums.
• Japanese brand Panasonic has become the official heating, ventilation and air conditioning supplier for FC Barcelona's (LALIGA EA Sports) Espai Barça project until 2027-28.
• According to a report by the New Weather Institute think tank, the annual carbon footprint of world football is equivalent to that of a country like Austria and almost 60% of that of a country like Uruguay, equivalent to the consumption of 150 million barrels of oil.
