Kings League: We Are Era (RTL Group) acquires a 20% stake in Kings League Germany

We Are Era, a German media and influencer marketing agency, has become a 20% shareholder in Kings League Germany, announced the subsidiary of the RTL Group (Bertelsmann) on 10/02/2025.

"The partnership covers key areas such as content production, marketing and sponsorships, branding and communications, as well as access to top German creators and the streaming community," said the German company, which has 400 employees in seven offices across Europe. The Kings League Germany is due to be launched in 2025.

The 7-a-side football competition was officially launched by the investment fund Kosmos (founded by Spanish ex-footballer Gerard Piqué) in Spain at the beginning of 2023. It was then exported to South America with the launch of the Kings League Américas in February 2024. Several other international competitions have since been organised: the Kings World Cup (May-June 2024) and the Kings World Cup Nations 2025 (January 2025).
