Spain/RFEF: projected budget of €379.6m approved for 2025 (-3.2% vs 2024)

The general assembly of the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol, “which met in an extraordinary session” on 10/02/2025, approved a projected budget of €379.6m for the financial year 2025 (01/01 to 31/12), down 3.2% on 2024 (€392.1m), announced the RFEF the same day.

This balanced budget (revenue = expenditure) is down slightly due in particular to the absence of any major men's competitions in 2025 compared with the previous financial year (during which Spain won Euro 2024) and shows two main sources of revenue:
• audiovisual rights: €119.3m (31.4%);
• revenue from partnerships and merchandising: €81.4m (21.4%), including €27m from the Supercopa de España in Saudi Arabia.

On the cost side, "costs and assistance for clubs" accounts for €76.9m (20.3%), ahead of planned expenditure on national teams of €66.4m (17.5%).
