2024-25 Champions League/Play-offs: head-to-head AS Monaco - SL Benfica, on Wednesday 12/02/2025

With a turnover of €195.8m for the 2022-23 financial year (from 01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), SL Benfica (Liga Portugal Betclic) had a turnover 76% higher that of AS Monaco FC (Ligue 1 McDonald's, €110.9), as the two clubs prepare to face each other in the first leg of their play-off for a place in the Round 16 of the Champions League, this Wednesday 12/02/2025 (kick-off at 21:00 CET) at the he Stade Louis-II (Monaco).

During the 2022-23 season, the two clubs' wage bill were very close, at €113m for AS Monaco and €115m for Benfica. The Portuguese club posted a net profit of €4.2m at the end of the year, compared with a net loss of €0.2m for Monaco.

While AS Monaco's turnover for the 2023-24 season is not yet known, SL Benfica posted a turnover of €179m, and a net loss of 31.4m. The Lisbon's club's wage bill fell slightly to €110.5m over the same period.
