YouTube: 3.42 million subscribers for Barça and Real Madrid, or 97.1% of total for La Liga

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF constitute 3.42 million subscribers on the video sharing platform YouTube, representing 97.1% of the total of the Liga BBVA (3.6 million in total), according to figures compiled by News Tank, on 09/04/2015. Real Madrid is the most followed club in Europe (1,713,000 subscribers), then Barcelona (1.711 million) and Chelsea FC (Barclays Premier League, 414,500).

Real Madrid and Barcelona together account for 48.1% of YouTube subscribers of the 98 clubs in the Top 5 European leagues (Liga BBVA, Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1), which combine for 7,110,000 total YouTube subscribers.

The two Spanish clubs also dominate Europe in the number of videos viewed on YouTube, with 323.8 million video views for Barcelona and 237.5 million videos views for Real Madrid, for a total of 561.3 million video views between both clubs. This represents 92.7% of the total number of video views in the Liga BBVA (605.4 million) and 37.2% of the European Top 5 (1.5 billion YouTube video views in total).
