FIFA Club World Cup 2025: TelevisaUnivision acquires TV rights to 18 matches in the USA

The Spanish-language pay and free-TV group TelevisaUnivision has acquired, under sublicense from DAZN, the rights to broadcast 18 matches from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the United States, announced the OTT platform on 13/02/2025.

"DAZN and TelevisaUnivision will jointly produce an extensive slate of programming surrounding the matches, including co-branded studio shows, and work closely together on a promotional and marketing strategy that will maximise reach of the tournament to fans in the US," explained the UK streaming service.

DAZN acquired exclusive worldwide broadcasting rights to the Club World Cup 2025 from FIFA on 04/12/2024. The 63 matches of the competition will be broadcast free of charge on the streaming service. The platform reportedly acquired the rights for $1bn (€952m, as of 04/12/2024), according to the Financial Times.
