A record 94.89% of players in the Ligue 1 McDonald's, Ligue 2 BKT & National 1 are members of the UNFP in 2024-25, according to the French Professional Footballers' Union on 14/02/2025.

The UNFP, chaired by David Terrier since 12/10/2024, has thus beaten the previous membership record set in 2010-11, when 93.25% of professional players were members of the union.

"In the union wasteland that France has now become - 8% of employees are union members in the private sector, 18% in the public sector - footballers have been the exception for many years. For the last fifteen years or so, apart from the Covid-19 period of course, the French UNFP membership rate has systematically exceeded 90%, so it was not easy to make further progress," explained the professional players' union.

"Players are worried about the situation of football in France" (D. Terrier, UNFP Union Nationale Des Footballeurs Professionnels / French National Union of Professional Footballers Founded: 16/11/1961 Executive Committee 2022-2028 (elected on 12/10/2024): • President: David… )
