FIFA has launched several separate calls for tenders for the broadcasting rights to the 2026 World Cup and the 2030 edition (in Spain, Portugal and Morocco) in nine European countries, on 18/02/2025.

The countries concerned are as follows: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Ukraine, with "each market being sold as an individual tender," said FIFA, adding that the deadline for submitting bids is Tuesday 25/03/2025 at 11:00 CET.

The 2026 and 2030 World Cups will be the first with 48 participating teams (instead of 32 from 1998 to 2022) and 104 matches instead of 64.

The European Broadcasting Union acquired the broadcasting rights for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in 37 European countries, including the nine mentioned above, on 30/03/2012.
