With a turnover of €1.073bn for the 2023-24 financial year (from 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2024), Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) posted a turnover 27% higher than that of Manchester City FC (Premier League, €843.7m), as the two clubs prepare to face each other in the second leg of their play-off for a place in the Round 16 of the 2024-25 Champions League, on Wednesday 19/02/2025 (kick-off at 21:00 CET) at the Estadio Bernabéu (Madrid, ESP).

In 2023-24, the wage bills of the two clubs were almost identical: €426m for the English club and €413m for their Spanish opponents. Real Madrid posted a net profit of €15.6m at the end of that financial year, compared with a net profit of €86.9m for Manchester City.

The match will be played at a stadium renamed the Estadio Bernabéu at the end of December 2024.
