Brazil: Puma extends kit supplier contract with Botafogo until 2016

The German sportswear company Puma has extended its partnership with Botafogo (Brazilian Serie B), announced the Rio de Janeiro club on 07/04/2015.

Puma has been the kit supplier to the club since the 2012 season. The brand has extended the contract, which was to expire in December 2015, for one year. Botafogo had also been approached by Kappa and Penalty before deciding to continue with the German supplier, according to several Brazilian media outlets. Botafogo was demoted to the Brazilian second division at the end of the 2014 season.

  • Puma was the kit supplier to three other Brazialian Serie A clubs in 2014: Atletico Mineiro, EC Vitoria and Goias.
  • Botafogo is in search of a main shirt sponsor for the 2015 season.
    • The supermarket chain Supermercados Unidos was displayed on the shirt of the club at several matches of the state championship in Rio, notably against the club's rivals Flamengo and Fluminense in February 2015.
