United Kingdom: Premier Sports to broadcast the semi-finals & final of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey

Premier Sports has acquired exclusive UK broadcasting rights from the RFEF for the semi-finals and final of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey Mapfre, announced the British pay-TV group on 21/02/2025.

Premier Sports will broadcast the first and second legs of the semi-finals between FC Barcelona and Club Atlético de Madrid (first leg on 25/02, second leg on 02/04) and Real Sociedad and Real Madrid CF (first leg on 26/02, second leg on 01/04). Previous rounds of the competition have not been broadcast in the UK. The final will take place on Saturday 26/04/2025.

The pay-TV package TNT Sports broadcast the semi-finals and final of the Copa del Rey in the UK for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 editions. Premier Sports, prior to its acquisition by Viaplay, had broadcast these matches in 2020-21 and 2021-22. The Swedish broadcasting group acquired Premier Sports in a deal valued at £30m (€36m) on 21/07/2022, then decided to sell its business back to Premier Sports in April 2024 following poor financial performance.
