Decathlon: Julien Leclercq to succeed Fabien Derville as chairman of the board from 10/03/2025

Frenchman Julien Leclercq, born on 07/04/1984, has been appointed chairman of the board at Decathlon, announced the company on 24/02/2025. He will take up his post on 10/03/2025.

Julien Leclercq is the youngest son of Michel Leclercq, founder of the French group that designs, produces and distributes sports goods (and cousin of Gérard Mulliez, founder of French supermarket chain Auchan). He has been with Decathlon since 2008, first with stores in Spain and Belgium, then as director of online activities for South-East Asia (2012-2014), before joining the family business' board of directors. He is the third member of his siblings to serve as chairman, after Olivier Leclercq (2009-2012) and Matthieu (2012-2018).

Leclercq succeeds Fabien Derville, who has held the position since November 2018.
