LFP: launch of "DataZone" on DAZN offering stats & augmented reality with Genius Sports

The Ligue de Football Professionnel has activated its partnership with Genius Sports, a British company specialised in data management, video streaming and sports betting integrity services, and has launched the DataZone service based on statistics and augmented reality during Ligue 1 McDonald's matches, announced the LFP on 28/02/2025.

"With individual and collective statistics continuously updated in real time during the match, the DataZone will promote understanding of the game with information on the accuracy of passes, one-on-ones, or even runs without the ball," explained the LFP.

This new tool, offered "in addition to the classic system", will be accessible on the DAZN OTT platform from Matchday 24 of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 season (at the rate of one game per matchday), with the match between Olympique de Marseille and FC Nantes, scheduled for Sunday 02/03/2025 (20:45 CET).
