Formula One Group: total revenue of $3.653bn in 2024, up 13.4% compared to 2023

Formula One Group, the company that owns the rights to and organises the FIA Formula One World Championship, has posted $3.653bn (€3.5bn at 31/12/2024) in revenue for the 2024 financial year (from 01/01 to 31/12/2024), which includes 24 Grands Prix (compared with 22 in 2023), This represents a 13.4% increase in revenue compared with the 2023 season ($3.222bn/€2.9bn), announced its parent company Liberty Media when it published its annual results on 27/02/2025.

The main sources of revenue for the group are as follows:
• 32.8% from media rights (broadcasters and subscriptions to the OTT platform F1 TV), or $1.198bn (€1.15bn), up 15.5% on 2023 ($1.037bn/€939m);
• 29.3% from commercial agreements with race promoters, i.e. $1.07bn (€1.02bn), up 13.3% ($944m/€855.2m in 2023);
• 18.6% from sponsorship revenue, i.e. $679.5m (€652.3bn), up 17.3% ($579m/€525.4m in 2023).

Other revenue (which include hospitality and licensing revenues) accounted for 19.3% of the total ($705bn/€676.7bn), up 6.5% on 2023 ($662m/€600m).
