Valencia CF: Kiat Lim (SGP), son of owner Peter Lim, succeeds Layhoon Chan as president

Singaporean Kiat Lim, son of Valencia CF (LALIGA EA Sports) majority shareholder Peter Lim, has been appointed the club's new president and will take up his post on 05/03, announced VCF's board of directors on 03/03/2025. Lim succeeds Layhoon Chan, who was president for two terms: from 2014 to 2017 and then from 2022 to 2025.

"Kiat Lim, director of Valencia CF since 2022, takes on this new responsibility at a pivotal moment for the organization. His appointment demonstrates a strong long-term commitment to the club, and reinforces the club's commitment to ensuring stability and building a solid project for the future," said the Spanish club.

This appointment comes three months after the club secured a €121m 10-year credit line and a €65m short-term loan from US bank Goldman Sachs, for a total financing package of €186m, on 15/11/2024.
