TV rights: UEFA launches the tender for Euro 2016 in Italy and for Euro 2020 in Germany

UEFA announced the launch of the tender for the audiovisual rights to Euro 2016 in Italy and the rights for Euro 2020 in Germany on 09/04/2015. Germany is the first country in which the tender for the Euro 2020 audiovisual rights has been launched.

In Italy, the process starts on 13/04/2015 and broadcasters and interested agencies have until 12/05/2015 at 12:00 CET to submit their offers. In Germany, the process starts on 14/04/2015 and ends on 13/05/2015 at 12:00 CET. The rights cover all broadcasting platforms (television, Internet, mobile).

  • The two tenders are managed by CAA Eleven, the agency that is in charge of the centralised marketing of audiovisual rights for the national team competitions organised by UEFA (from 01/10/2012 until the end of the 2021-22 season).

Euros were aired by public broadcasters in Italy (in 2012) and will be aired by them in Germany (2016)
