Wolverhampton Wanderers FC: a turnover of £177.7m (+5.2%) & net loss of £14.33m in 2023-24

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Premier League) have posted a turnover of £177.7m (€208.47m) for the 2023-24 financial year (01/06/2023 to 31/05/2024), up 5.2% on 2022-23 (£168.6m/€194.8m as of 31/05/2023), announced the club on 28/02/2025.

These results were "driven by an increase in underlying Premier League broadcasting rights (the value of the Premier League's TV rights redistribution system increased to £117.1m, with the club's broadcasting revenue reaching £15.57m/€18.26m compared to £11.1m/€12.8m in 2022-23). While a lower final league position (14^th, versus 13^th in 2022-23) resulted in a slightly reduced merit payment, this was offset by an increase in live UK television broadcasts (16 matches, up from 12 in 2022-23) and additional home games, including two pre-season friendlies at Molineux," explained the club.

Matchday revenues rose from £15.1m (€17.4m) in 2022-23 to £16.2m (€18.99m) in 2023-24, an increase of 7% thanks in particular to "a strong FA Cup run, with Wolves reaching the quarter-finals. All matches in the year were played in front of near-capacity crowds, with an…
