Canal+ Group: total revenues of €6.45bn in 2024, the year of the demerger & IPO

The Canal+ group posted total revenues of €6.449bn in 2024, up 3.6% on 2023 (€6.223bn), according to the preliminary results published by the French pay and free-TV group on 04/03/2025.

The Canal+ group's results include, for the first time, those of Dailymotion (streaming platform), GVA (telecoms), L'Olympia and L'Œuvre (theatres) and CanalOlympia (cinemas in Africa). The new scope of the Canal+ group, announced in September 2024, was configured ahead of the demerger, at the initiative of their parent company Vivendi, of Canal+, Havas and Louis Hachette Group (which includes the initial 66.53% stake in Lagardère and 100% of Vivendi's Prisma Media) into several independent, listed entities.

This demerger was approved by Vivendi's combined general shareholders' meeting on 09/12/2024. The French media and entertainment group previously announced, on 13/12/2023, that it was studying "a project to split the company into several entities in order to fully unleash the development potential of all its activities".
